How I'm Using AI at Work and Home

What this is
I’m going to share my screen and walk you through a handful of ways I’m actually using AI in my work: my calendar, my inbox, my spreadsheets, and a few automations that either weren’t possible before or used to need expensive software. These are real things running in my real week. Some save me a few minutes. Some run every day without me touching them. For each one, I’ll tell you what it took to set up so you can decide if it’s worth it for you.
You’ll leave with a few-page resource kit: the ideas, the prompts I use, and notes on pointing the same thing at your own work.
I’ll be working in Claude because that’s what I use, but the ideas carry over to Copilot, ChatGPT, or whatever you’ve got. It’s recorded, so if you can’t make it live, you’ll get the replay.
What this is not
If you’ve never opened an AI chat window, you’ll follow along fine. If you’re in there every day, I’m hoping you’ll pick up a few new ideas (and maybe share some with me!).
Not hands-on. Nothing to bring, nothing to set up. Watch and take what’s useful. To fit a handful of examples into one hour, we won’t have work blocks like I sometimes do.
Not a pitch for any particular tool.
Not an expert session. I’m definitely not an AI expert, so very advanced questions might stump me. What I do have is a few strategies that help me put these tools to use without being one, and I’m hoping you’ll leave feeling like you can do the same.
